IAI Recognized as a 2013 Washingtonian Great Place to Work

CHANTILLY, VA – IAI is a Washingtonian magazine 2013 Great Places to Work. IAI’s recognition by Washingtonian was announced at a November 22 breakfast held at the The Mayflower Renaissance hotel and hosted by the Greater Washington Board of Trade to salute Washington DC area employers of choice. Washingtonian has been publishing its Great Places to Work feature every other year since 1999. This is the fifth time that IAI has been recognized by Washingtonian as a Great Place to Work, the first being in their November 2005 Great Place to Work issue. Washingtonian’s December 2013 Great Place to Work issue appears on newsstands on November 21, 2013.

This is the eighth time the Washingtonian has chosen Great Places to Work in the Washington, DC area. The feature dates back to 1999 and is published every other year. This year’s 50 winning workplaces were chosen from companies and organization across the Washington DC metropolitan area on the basis of such measures as generous pay and benefits, challenging and interesting work, great work/life balance, opportunities to learn and grow, financial stability, commitment to charity and community, and the recognition and respect given to employees. Winners were chosen after a panel of editors reviewed more than 200 companies and some 13,000 employee surveys. The final determinations relied heavily on the scores given by a company’s employees.

“We are honored by this recognition by Washingtonian and recognize that creating and sustaining a Great Place to Work environment is fundamental to the success of our business,” said Joseph L. Brickey, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “I’m proud of the quality workplace environment that IAI has created. We are committed to being an employer of choice so that we can continue to attract, retain and motivate the high quality talent necessary to support our customers’ important missions, now and in the future.”
