CHANTILLY, VA – Integrity Applications Incorporated’s (IAI) Mission Ridge Chantilly Virginia headquarters has been recognized with an award of merit in Interior Architecture from the Washington DC chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA/DC). AIA/DC’s Chapter Design Awards recognizes excellence in the categories of architecture, interior architecture and historic resources, demonstrating to the public the value of good design, while illustrating the wide variety of services performed by architects. The architectural firm of Kishimoto.Gordon.Dalaya PC completed and executed the interior design of IAI’s headquarters building in 2012.
This year, there were a record 200 plus submissions for architect, interiors, and historic resources. IAI’s Chantilly HQ space was one of four designs selected for an award of merit for transforming normal tenant space into a vibrant hub of activity conveying the nature of the company who is repeatedly selected as a Great Place to Work. The goals of the interior design were to: 1) express through the design, the culture of a company whose employees are steeped in challenging analysis and math¬ematical formulae; 2) convey a sense that the headquarters space is “home” for the family of workers that are spread across the country; 3) explore the notion that innovation occurs in great workspaces, and a high-trust culture plays a role in enabling ideas to flourish; and, 4) design the Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) space such that even though the space is sealed, it is still inviting and conveys a sense of excitement.
