The ISO 9001:2015 Standard

IAI has been an ISO 9001 quality certified organization since 2015. The ISO 9001:2015 standard is based on a number of quality management principles, including a strong customer focus, the motivation and commitment of top management, the identification and mitigation of risks, and continual seeking of opportunities for improvement. The goal of the ISO 9001 quality certification is to ensure that IAI’s Government and commercial customers receive consistently high quality products and services.

Certification required that IAI work closely with BSI – an accredited third party auditing organization – to thoroughly review the company’s internal quality management system processes to ensure we are capable of consistently delivering products and services that meet customers’ needs and expectations.

IAI’s Quality Policy: IAI is committed to providing the highest quality products and services, in a timely manner, with integrity and innovation in all that we do. Through continual improvement of our quality and company processes and attention to customer mission and requirements, we aspire to deliver innovative solutions and achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.

CMMI Maturity Level 2

What does IAI’s CMMI maturity level 2 rating mean for our customers?

  • IAI’s work and processes have received the highest form of third-party validation.
  • IAI manages projects with an established set of practices.
  • IAI is dedicated to continuous improvement and producing great work that makes a difference.

IAI achieved a rating of CMMI Maturity Level 2 for its Software Development team.  The appraisal was performed by ACE Guides and resulted in the determination on 16 November 2017.  This confirms that IAI’s software development programs have ensured requirements are managed and that processes are planned, performed, measured, and controlled.

CMMI is a process improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance.  An appraisal at maturity level 2 indicates the organization is performing at a “managed” level. At this level, projects have ensured processes are planned and executed in accordance with policy; the projects employ skilled people who have adequate resources to produce controlled outputs; involve relevant stakeholders; are monitored, controlled, and reviewed; and are evaluated for adherence to their process descriptions.

David J. Dzaran, President and CEO of IAI, commented: “The CMMI level 2 appraisal is an important reaffirmation and validation of IAI’s total commitment to the success of our customers’ missions by enhancing our performance at the organizational level for IAI’s software programs. The CMMI Level 2 appraisal compliments IAI’s focus on continuous quality improvement as an ISO 9001 registered organization and enhances IAI’s well-known reputation for excellence with the customers we support.”
