Most of the positions that IAI recruits for require a high level Government security clearance or the ability to obtain a security clearance. Finally, many IAI employees interact directly with the customer so customer relationship skills and the ability to act as a trusted agent are also important.
IAI careers are almost always in an office or lab environment and require active learning skills, critical thinking skills, social skills, complex problem solving skills, domain-specific technical skills, communication skills, systems skills, resource management skills and desktop computer skills. The physical attributes required are typically those that you might find in an office or lab environment to include working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions, work in close proximity to others and exposures to sounds and noises typically found in an office or lab environment.
